Preparing to stay at the Hôtellerie Omer-Brazeau
What do I need to bring to the Hôtellerie?
Is your stay coming up? We have prepared this printable checklist so that you will not forget anything and will have everything you need for your stay. Remember to bring street clothes for when you are in the Hôtellerie and at the Rimouski regional hospital for your examinations or treatments. You and your companion will both need your health insurance cards.
How do you get to the Hôtellerie easily?
If you are coming from the East, on the road 132
In downtown Rimouski, as you go along the boulevard beside the St. Lawrence River, turn on to the Avenue de la Cathédrale, then turn right on to Rue Saint-Germain. Turn left on to Rue Saint-Louis at the traffic lights (you will see La Brûlerie d’ici on the corner). The Hôtellerie Omer-Brazeau is located a hundred metres from the junction, on your right.
If you are coming from Highway 20
Take Exit 610 for “Rimouski – centre-ville”. Stay on Route 232 Nord/boulevard du Rivage for 3 kilometres, then turn right on to Rue de l’Évêché. When you get to Rue Saint-Louis, turn left. The Hôtellerie Omer-Brazeau is located a hundred metres from the junction, on your left.

What is the best time to arrive?
Be sure to arrive at the Hôtellerie before 9pm, or a few hours before your first medical appointment. We will process your admission and give you all the information you need for your stay. If you arrive sufficiently early, a volunteer guide will be available for you. They can guide you to your first appointment, if you feel the need.
Where can I park my car?
No free parking is available near the Hôtellerie. For trips within Rimouski, the Citébus service provided by the Société des transports de Rimouski is probably sufficient. If you have to use your car, you can park it at the Rimouski Regional Hospital, at your expense. Ask for your receipt at the car park exit. Information and pricing: 418 724-3000, extension 8112.
There is also a car park about ten minutes’ walk from the Hôtellerie, on Rue Saint-Germain, opposite the Institut maritime du Québec. It is a free, unattended parking lot that can get very busy, depending on the time of year.
When do I have to pay for my stay?
For a stay of a few days, full payment is due in the evening before your departure. For a stay of several weeks, the balance for each week must be paid every Thursday. Is the CISSS in your area or another organization paying for your stay? Submit proof of a payment agreement when you are admitted, unless an agreement has already been reached between the organization and the Hôtellerie Management.
